Ages 14-18*

Following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, in this class students will develop grace, poise, flexibility, and coordination through exercises both at the barre and in the centre.

Wednesday 7:45-8:45pm

Ballet

Pointe classes are designed for dancers with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. 

Dancers will be placed in pointe classes by assessment or invitation only. Prerequisites include:

  • A minimum of 3 years of ballet training

  • The student must be at least 14 years old 

  • The muscles in the foot and ankle must be strong enough, as determined by the instructor

  • The student must have a strong core and turnout ability

Pointe

Our cornerstone program fuses hip hop foundations with other styles under the street dance umbrella. Styles examined may include party grooves & freestyle, house dance, popping, locking, waacking, and jazz funk. An emphasis will be placed on learning and respecting hip hop history and culture, developing groove, and building a solid technical foundation.

Senior Hip Hop

Advanced Hip Hop 1/2

This advanced class is invitation only. Styles examined will include advanced party grooves & freestyle, house dance, popping, locking, waacking, and jazz funk. An emphasis will be placed on learning and respecting hip hop history and culture, developing groove, and building a solid technical foundation.

Tuesdays 7:45-8:45pm

Our jazz dance classes combine classical technique with modern dance trends. This fast-paced, high energy class teaches students poise, body awareness, and coordination while learning the fundamentals for kicks, turns, and jumps. Classes are fun, challenging, and set to today's most popular music. Get ready to sweat!

Tuesdays 8:45-9:30pm

Jazz

Acro dance is an excellent training supplement for dancers who want to increase their strength, flexibility and balance. Dancers will follow thoughtful progressions to develop their acrobatic skills in a safe and effective manner. Our acro dance classes follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus.

Please note that for acro, dancers are placed in their level based on ability and not age. Prerequisites for level 4 are included in this document:

Musical Theatre

Musical theatre is a fusion of a variety of dance styles, all brought together to tell stories through movement and music. From classic Broadway hits to contemporary showstoppers, our classes explore a diverse range of musical styles and choreography. Our musical theatre classes focus on developing technique, stage presence, and storytelling through movement. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, our classes cater to all levels, offering a supportive and inclusive environment where students can grow and thrive.

Through fun and challenging choreography, students will learn to embody characters, convey emotions, and express themselves confidently on stage. Our classes also provide opportunities for students to collaborate with fellow performers, fostering teamwork and camaraderie along the way.


Tap is a dynamic form of dance that merges percussive footwork with fluid movement, creating a symphony of sound and motion. Led by our experienced instructors, our classes focus on developing rhythmic precision, coordination, and musicality while fostering creativity and self-expression. Let's make music with our feet together!

Contemporary

Our contemporary dance classes blend classical ballet technique with technical elements of jazz and modern dance to achieve fluidity and expression. Students will learn fundamental skills associated with all of these dance styles while also exploring improvisation techniques.
